Successful sales partnerships require ...

Channel partnerships between companies is one thing, but channel partnerships between sellers is another. Here are three tips for making your channel partnerships with individual sellers more successful:

1 – Build relationships. How is the other person motivated and what is important to them? Invest in them by communicating and meeting often. People do business with people they like.

2 – Bring new information. Do not just show up when you need leads. Regularly bring the other person new information about existing and new accounts, as well as the market. New insights and trends are always welcome.

3 – Always do excellent work. When a partner introduces or recommends you to a customer, you are representing them. Always exceed expectations. Go-to partners regularly expand  customer relationships and grow opportunities.

There will come a time when you, an individual seller, cannot be more effective or efficient. You will need help from other people. When you invest in others and do the right things, you will greatly magnify your results.
