The Close

The Close

“Hi, this is Josh Lowry, your friend in enterprise sales and marketing. Do you know that the number one reason why salespeople do not close deals is because they do not ask for the business? They avoid going to that difficult place where everyone gets a little uncomfortable. They talk themselves out of closing by thinking the buyer is not ready or they do not want to pressure them. To win in sales, you must be able to close deals. You must believe that your product is right for the buyer and will bring them more value than they are going to pay for it. Remember, a deal is close when an exchange occurs between the buyer and the seller. The buyer gives the seller their money and the seller gives the buyer their product. Until that happens, no value has been created. You have merely been of service to the buyer. The close is what counts. The close is how you get paid. Even though the close only makes up 20% of the buying process, it makes up 100% of your income. Ask for the business every time.”
