Leadership in Soccer

Leadership in Soccer

My nine year old daughter asked me to post her new story on my blog – I could not resist.

“This is a story about leadership in girl’s soccer. If your goalie lets in a goal or if a player on your team makes a mistake you should always say, ‘it is okay.’ You need to cheer them on and show your support, win or lose. Even though you do not like it when the other team scores, you still cheer your team on, always. At the end of the game if you win, celebrate, but do not do it in front of the other team. If you lose, you need to say ‘good game’ to the other team to show good sportsmanship. Always have a good attitude when you play soccer and lead by example.”
