Leadership: Consistency Matters

Leadership: Consistency Matters

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act, but a habit.” – Aristotle

When leaders are consistent in their actions and words, they create a competitive advantage for their organization and people in regards to execution. Consistency means constantly adhering to the same course, principles, etc. Most people cannot stay consistent. Leaders add to the situation by regularly changing direction or starting and stopping initiatives. Lack of consistency derails execution. Consistency must be driven at the leadership-level to enable the organization and people to develop the discipline needed to initiate and sustain processes to get things done.
