Best Times to Contact Prospects

SDR prospecting activity should be the highest between 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM.

When doing sales development, the best times to make contact with both customers and prospects are 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM (best) and 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM (next best). If fact, qualification rates can be 100% or higher during these periods. Why? Most people are at their desks, either starting their day or ending it. They are not in meetings. Accordingly, SDR prospecting activity should be the highest during these two periods. The time zone of the sales territory must also be taken into account; e.g., if you are calling into NYC from Seattle, selling starts at 4:30 AM PT.
